Spent 4th of July aboard of Carnival Mardi gras. This was my second time sailing this beautiful ship, and lots of things have changed since then. I was in the second sailing back in August, 2021. and coming back a year after was great. This ship is absolutely beautiful and a game changer for Carnival. Cruising with Lee the cruise director was amazing and he sure knows how to make everyone party.

Accommodations

I had a Spa balcony cabin # 17270, which is a Category 8P - Cloud 9 Spa Balcony Stateroom located on Deck 17. It was easy to find and conveniently located right off the elevators. The room is 205 square feet and it had a King size bed, a love seat and a desk. Because it was a could 9 Spa stateroom it came with some additional amenities.

Two complimentary fitness classes (per guest)
Complimentary body composition analysis

Beside the exclusive amenities one of the greatest things the spa rooms has is direct access to the Therma suite. Right off deck 17 in front of room 17223 there is an exclusvie elevator that gives you access straight to the thermal suite without walking thru the Spa.
Food

Everyone that know me know that I am Obssesed with Shaq chicken, so with that alone the food is 10/10 but I like to give my followers a honest opinion therefore we need to speak about everything. I am honestly not a fan of Carnivals main dining room menu but some of the items like the mushroom soup and lobster were pretty good. Cucina del capitano is still one of my favorite dining venues of the ship as well as Chibang. Inspired by the Italian captains Cucina del capitano is a delicious Italian restaurant. Chibangs is a delicious Chinesse and Mexican restaurant where you will get the best of both worlds. Both restaurants are included in your cruise fare. Another delicious and included restaurants are Guy's pig and achor smokehouse, Blueiguana Cantina and Guy's Burgers. Craving pizza at midnight? Pizzeria del Capitano will have you cover as they open 24 hours a day. I must warn you one slice will not be enough.
Beverages

Carnival's ships are all filled with fun bars and lounges featuring different themes and menu items. Of course Carnival Mardi gras is no exception. The ship features 11 bars and 7 lounges. One of my favorite bar is the Red frog Tiki bar, if you cruised with carnival before you are familiar with the RedFrog Rum Bar. This is a expanded version of that! It has two floors with the best views and drinks. Another one of my favorites is the Fortune Teller bar, mysterious décor and mystical drinks make this bar extra special and fun.

We all know Carnival is known for their fun parties and entertainments and Carnival Mardi gras really knows how to party. There's a party every day and night. Family Feud is definelty something you don't want to miss. If you are traveling with a big family go sign up for the auditions, we were sorry we didn't.
The Ultimate Playground is just that. An Ultimate playgroun and lots of fun! It features the first-ever rollercoaster at sea, Bolt. Bolt is an electric open-air course high above sea level. You can actually control how fast you go and you will want to ride it again and again. Keep in mind it has a $15 fee and you have to make reservations in advance. But that is not all, get your swimsuit on and head to the Carnival WaterWorks, and try out the three huge spiraling slides. Don't forget to check out SportsSqure that features a mini-golf course, basketball court, and a ropes course.
If you are looking for a place to relax away from all the kids? Check out Serenity, the Adults only area. Complete with a pool, bar, hot tubs and more. You can also relax some more with Cloud 9 Spa. You can get a massage, facials and body wraps.
